does michelle offer psychic readings?

Michelle does not typically do readings for hire. There are a few exceptions to this rule. She will do readings with the Watcher Angel Tarot on a case by case basis, and she also does energy body readings -- although these are typically only done in person. Out of respect for bereavement and the grieving process, Michelle does not hire out for spirit communication and/or psychic medium work.

can i get an energy body reading from michelle?

While Michelle does not offer energy body readings online, she has been working with artist Cat Mason to help Cat develop her energetic perceptions. Cat now offers energy body readings, and stunningly beautiful energy body art, both in person and over Skype. You can learn more at Cat's website, Aether Body Art, or learn a little more about energy bodies from Michelle and see examples of Cat's work here.

does michelle teach students?

Michelle takes on individual students very infrequently, and does not currently have the time to take on new students. The best way to learn many of the things Michelle teaches is to read her books. Michelle does offer classes and workshops to groups when her schedule allows it. Alternatively, House Kheperu's annual Gather is a wonderful place to learn more from Michelle, as well as many other folks who have a great deal of experience interacting with energetic and psychic phenomena.

what is house kheperu?

Michelle founded House Kheperu in 1996. House Kheperu is a group of energy workers who share strong connections to one another. From the website of House Kheperu:

" We take our name from an ancient Egyptian word that means “to transform, to change, to become.” We see our spiritual path as a process of transformation wherein we awaken to deeper and deeper truths about our own nature, and the nature of the universe we exist in. In embodying and balancing these truths in ourselves, we then become catalysts that facilitate the same process of transformation in the world around us."

what is psychic vampirism?

In the simplest terms, a psychic vampire is someone who preys on the life energies of others. Psychic vampires are not believed to be undead, but are mortal people whose need for energy metaphorically connects them to the life-stealing predators of myth. Throughout almost all of the available literature, psychic vampirism is described as at best an affliction, and at worst a conscious choice to victimize others. Among psychic vampires themselves, there are many different understandings of vampirism, and many different interpretations of how it is expressed.

To delve more deeply into psychic vampirism, and the connection between vampires and energy, check out Michelle's  groundbreaking Psychic Vampire Codex. It's available here.

when did michelle realize she was a psychic vampire? how can one know if they are one or not?

(Question submitted by Julia)

Michelle's awareness of energy led her to suspect that she had a different way of relating to that energy than the other psychics in her family. As an early teen, she started exploring the notion of vital energy. The work of Dion Fortune introduced her to the concept of a psychic vampire. And, despite all the complicated associations and misconceptions that come with the word vampire, it fit.

There is no litmus test to determine whether or not someone is a psychic vampire. As with most identities, to see if it fits you will probably need to both learn about the other people who identify as psychic vampires, and learn about yourself. How does your energy system work? What happens if you don't take in vital energy? Michelle's Psychic Vampire Codex is a good place to start, as is seeking out your local vampire community. If you identify as a psychic vampire, what you do with that identity and that knowledge is up to you.

michelle has written a lot of books... where should i start?

That depends on what you're looking for. If you're into the paranormal, start with Haunting ExperiencesThe Ghost Hunter's Survival Guide is recommended reading for many paranormal and ghost hunting groups. For vampires or the vampire community, start with The Psychic Vampire Codex. For those who are coming to Michelle for instruction on energy work more generally, start with The Psychic Energy Codex.

i've heard michelle is intersex. what does that mean?

The Intersex Society of North America defines intersex as "a general term used for a variety of conditions in which a person is born with a reproductive or sexual anatomy that doesn't seem to fit the typical definitions of female or male." Michelle is indeed intersex. But there is no single answer to the question of what being intersex means. In one sense, being intersex means there is no gender blueprint for you to follow. But every person in the world, regardless of the gender they were born with, has a multitude of choices during their life about how they express their gender to the outside world. It makes as much sense to attribute meaning to the fact that Michelle is intersex as to the fact that she lives in Ohio, or has brown hair, or is tall. Each of those aspects of a person has some bearing on who that person is, but taken alone, no single aspect sets a person's path in life.

does michelle have a pronoun preference?

Thank you for the courtesy of asking; it is appreciated. The short answer is no, Michelle does not have a pronoun preference. While she supports people in expressing their own pronoun preferences, the wide variety of identities that Michelle has inhabited have left her without a strong attachment to any particular gender pronoun.
